Motion Graphic Design for the BBC
The fine folk over at BBC Introducing gave Contra a call. They asked us to use our motion graphic design skills for some of their up and coming talent.
We were thrilled to hear that our first artist was the hugely talented Jack Garratt. Our animation was viewed over 75,000 times in its first month of release. The Head of music at the BBC, Bob Shannon said:
“It is very very stylish. I love it.”
BBC listeners spread the film widely on social media! BBC staff and the artist Jack Garratt himself also shared the film. The film has played a part in increasing Jack’s popularity; a month after its release he went on to win the Critics Choice Award at the Brit Awards 2016.

We then jumped straight on to the next artist profile: English punk duo ‘Slaves’.
In the first month, the Slaves film racked up over 21,000 views on the BBC iPlayer, gaining a further 20,000 online and through social media. Also, the BBC are using the film internally to explain BBC Introducing and its public service value, going right up to the most senior level.
