Making an Impact
Working with World Vision & Save the Children to make a Charity Film with Impact!
By 2016, the World Vision and Save the Children Partnership will aim to improve the literacy skills of 1.5 million girls and boys in 15 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
Last year Contra was lucky enough to become part of a pioneering education programme with international charities, World Vision International and Save the Children. The charity partnership approached Contra with a brief to create two short promotional films for their Literacy Boost programme.
After several weeks of development, Producer/Director Max Greenstein and Director of Photography John Ford and travelled with the client team to visit the lush lands of Burundi and vibrant, energetic Bangladesh.
Here are the first of two charity videos.
This vignette was developed as a short documentary exploring the impact of the programme to major donors and audiences across the globe. Keep an eye out for the second film, a shorter commercial production which we will be releasing via another blog in a week or so!
We also took did a whole bunch of photography along the way for social media, have look. We have a long a committed passion for working with powerful campaigns that make a difference. It’s at the heart of Contra and very much why we exist. Do let us know if you have a campaign that you’d like to discuss. We’d be happy to help!
Please consider supporting World Vision or Save the Children. Both charities have an intelligent, practical and utterly passionate dedication to supporting developing countries and communities. For more information on Literacy Boost, please visit: Save’s Literacy Boost site or World Vision’s here.
