Contra have recently partnered with The British Lung Foundation, the only UK charity who are dedicated to looking after the nation’s lungs, to create three videos which focus on the continuous research that the charity are doing to combat lung disease.
After careful casting, our team selected three case studies which show the broad ways in which lung disease can affect people’s lives both directly and indirectly. We used these real stories to prove that research has been crucial in helping these people with managing their conditions, providing guidance and in some cases, prolonging life expectancies.
In this specific case study, we learn how Maxine cares for her husband who has been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), an incurable lung disease which causes a scarring of the lungs. Maxine hopes that a cure might be just around the corner, and the research funded by BLF is what provides that ray of hope.
Contra devised the tagline “Where there’s research, there’s hope” which ties in with BLF’s ethos “hope, help and a voice” and used soft branding to bring the emotional and sometimes uplifting stories to front and centre.
