Charity Video Production and Motion Design
Action for Children called on Contra to create a short film. The aim was to raise awareness of their ‘A stitch in time’ Early Support campaign. So Contra’s multi award-winning video production team was ideally placed to respond to such a brief. Indeed, we have vast experience in storytelling through motion design! We have worked for over 17 years making brand and charity campaigns, high-end corporate videos and educational films. Most of all, Contra holds credits for many big names – BBC, Honda, Sky, WWF, Save the Children, and many more.
Using a child’s voice to lead the film is a great way to communicate the importance of the message. The impact of this technique relies heavily on the script and the design elements of the animation being representative of a child’s imagination. Directed by David Hayes, our motion graphics team worked on a narrative tone that placed the viewer in the world of the child voicing the film. This ensured that an emotional relationship develops between the viewer and the child. Also, it increased the impact of the call to action at the end of the film.
